Taking care of planet Earth

Isn't nature amazing? So as we were talking about taking care of planet Earth... we watered our classroom plants and as the liquid settled on some of the leaves, this thirsty little fella flew in for a drink of water. 🌵💦🐝💕
This beautiful BUMBLE BEE was here in our classroom to have a drink, but it’s important to note that bumble bees are built to pollinate.

In New Zealand bumble bees were imported to pollinate some crops. Many species of bumble bee have longer tongues than honey bees, so they can pollinate flowers with longer petals. Also, bumble bees are very hairy and so they are perfect for picking up and transferring pollen.

Why do you think it’s important for us to take care of bumble bees?
